KalkanHouse.com - a luxury villa in Turkey

It may lie halfway between Faliraki and Aya-Napa, but don't expect quite the same thing in Kalkan. There are, however, quite a few good bars around. In recent months several restaurants have opened their own adjacent bars.

The following are merely suggestions, some of our favourites and some recommended by our guests, but there are some that we have not been to as yet which are probably just as good. The clubs & bars are not listed in any particular order. Although every effort is made to be accurate we cannot guarantee that all the details are correct.

01 Yacht Point Bar

The Yacht Point Bar is a great bar situated on the harbour front. There is outdoor seating on both sides of the road. In the evenings there is a great atmosphere to be had here. Just the place to go for a drink after a nice meal.

02 Yali Cafe Bar

This bar is located in the heart of the 'Old Town' just off Stone Park. It's always full in the evenings with people watching the late night shoppers go past. A good place for a drink.

03 No Name Bar

The No Name Bar is located on the hill about halfway between the taxi rank and the Pirat Hotel. It isn't really in the heart of the 'Old Town', but don't let that put you off - it's well worth a visit.

04 Sandals Bar

The Sandals Bar is situated just below the Pirat Hotel in an excellent location by the harbour. There is plenty of outdoor seating. This is a very popular place in the evenings.

05 Apollonian Club

The Apollonian Club is a stylish nightclub within the Patara Prince Resort in Kisla (and is conveniently only a 5 minute walk from our villa - so it's not far to crawl back after a few drinks!).

06 Utopia Cafe & Bar

The Utopia Cafe & Bar is located on the main street at you walk into the Old Town (so there's no reason to avoid it). It has a nice, relaxed feeling with dimmed lighting, but is sometimes overshadowed by the popular Moonlight Bar next door.

07 Ottoman House

The Ottoman House is a traditional Turkish bar where you sit on cushions on the floor. It is very popular, but never feels overcrowded, since there's so much seating area. Well worth a visit.

08 The Swan Pub

The Swan Pub is located just outside the Old Town area next door to the Kartin supermarket. It prouds itself on showing Sky Sports and is geared towards the English tourists.

The Ilyada is a stylish bar (and restaurant) located in an excellent position on the harbourfront. It is a great place to have a drink after a meal, with a nice, relaxed atmosphere.
